DECLARATION OF INTEREST TO RUN FOR THE POSITION AS THE CHAIRMAN "NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN STUDENTS" (NANS JCC) JOINT CAMPUS COMMITTEE PLATEAU STATE AXIS, AND MY AFFIRMATION OF LOYALTY TO ALL NIGERIAN STUDENTS SCHOOLING ON THE PLATEAU.

Greetings are expression of courtesy and morals amidst intellect,
to this end, i bring warmly fraternal and combatant greetings built on  high level of diplomacy and discipline.

My  Name Is GODWIN NENCHIN BEDIR, A student of Plateau State University Bokkos.
After carefully and analytically accessing my strengths and weaknesses, vis-a-vis consultations to our revered stakeholders who have paid their dues to keep the union strong, and our eminent Nigerian Students, I want to officially declare and made known to the general public, my intention to contest for the CHAIRMAN "NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN STUDENTS" (NANS-JCC) PLATEAU STATE AXIS.

My driving force to contest the position of the NANS JCC CHAIRMAN is accelerated by the desire to rejig new ideas of leadership for our Union and  Students who are the prime inhabitants of this great association, to also rebrand the subsisting standards laid by the outgoing leadership in meeting the demands of the time, given the recent alterations in the world's map of things and activities.

NANS JCC Plateau axis, is a body saddled with the responsibility of coordinating all Nigrian students residence on the Plateau, with a total number of 24 registered tertiary institutions with NANS National body.
It is also a platform  by which the students interact with government, participate in the policies of their concern, the policies and programs  of the management of their respective Institutions, and it is the  recognisable channel through which  our voices are heard and spoken, individually and collectively.

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS JCC), is an umbrella body, covering all the students within the tertiary institutions in the state and has continued to stand out, both in numerical strength and in leadership prowess. It is a notorious fact that our past leaders from the state has written their names in gold on the national space and has put plateau state on a brand map of NANS. We intend birthing a more gluelike bond among the leadership and community of students from our state through the zone and the national.

We intend through purpose driven channels, directed towards our respective campuses and halls of comrades we will aspire, strive and inspire "WE CAN DO IT".
I also intend making this proposed leadership a one that reunites our collective interest into whole lots of possibilities, one that is workable if given the privilege to serve this axis. I will assemble my course on the existing standards and build a  formidable leadership for our axis, one that is free from cynicism, one that is all-inclusive, purpose-driven, and a leadership that is responsive to the demands of our students and expectations of our forebearers in our axis. YES WE CAN!

The leadership of NANS, has over the years stood several grounds for the students. It has also been a frontier of many struggles directed towards easing the discomforts of our students and the society.
Also, myself being an active member of this great association having participated loyally, it has also put me on grounds where I feel I'm able to appraise the activities of this outgoing leadership, its highs and lows, and I would say; with God, I know the point from where to start this NEW DAWN Agenda. The cause of the stumbles and how we can chart a way out of this halt and a way forward from this halt.

I hope to build an association in the axis, that meets the expectations of students and the great men that came before us. By the reason of this aspiration, we've mapped out plans to raise the standard of the NANS JCC to a height where it can perceive the pinches of our students and proffer a lasting solutions to them, leading them to practical paths of representation, direction and giving them a sense of belonging.

Admittedly, NANS, both at the national level, zonal levels, and our axis has quite a wide scope of possibilities and potentiality, most of which have not been harnessed, and some others harnessed have not been adequately utilized. The leadership of our Plateau State Axis, has continued to traversed these miles greatly, we hope to travel farther than they did. We hope to dig into this hole of possibilities and potentiality, extracting the best service, the most trusted hope and a resounding leadership cause for the NANS JCC, if God helps this aspiration to gain light.

So far, I wouldn't say that NANS JCC  has not had a qualitative leadership.
One could easily see, perceive and feel the footprints and impacts of the men that came before us. Now, most of them left a playbook for the axis from where we have always sourced our means to dilemmas of hope.
The Plateau State Axis has nutured and produced men of class and character, most of whom are still living hale and hearty, directing the steps of subsequent leaderships and watching them keep the pace and keep to path.

Nonetheless, I would rather say that NANS has stopped a mid way in getting to a marked height, both in service, in sacrifice of pleasures for pain and in completing the structural standard that will stand the test of time, which will represent a hopeful monument to our emerging desires and expectations and a structure of a leadership that knows the cost of excellence. I have coined a mantra for this crusade "A NEW DAWN...” to create the impression that we can achieve all these with the permit of time, our corporation, support and the privilege of this mandate, A New Dawn!

The fights we wished to win years back but couldn't, because we lacked the requisite strength and coorporation, the heights we wished to attain but failed, the demands of the students we wished to meet, and the synergy we wished to build with other relevant societal leaderships could breathe a sigh of relief, if God leads us on board.

The assurance of this is simple, "it is the unity and harmony which we hope to create on the Plateau, the duo would have devised a broader means to achieving these odds in our favour".

We can achieve all these by charting a perfect trajectory of hope, by decentralising the influence of NANS to the various campuses domiciled in the state where we can practically interact with the students' union leaderships, ascertaining their most preferred options and expectations. We can also achieve all these by harnessing our available resources, both material and human, extracting opportunities from them and measuring the level of our progress with the living structures of our forebearers, this will help checkmate our causes and the devised means to achieving them.
I also hope to engage our students directly, through life-enhancing programs that will augument their academic focus and bring them closer to the influence of mentorship, so that while we leave, these structures will not also crumble in dust to our faces.
Great Nigerian Students, having been mentored by several student leaders, I also have been given the privilege to served at some points in these capacities

Again, I count it all joy entering this contest with men of great pedigree and resounding playbook.
This is more of the reason I'm confident that this elections will be most friendly and fair, one free from undue influence and threats. I have resolved being receptive to the outcome and liberal with my fate about this peaceful upcoming  convention.
I wish my brothers a peaceful contest and the NANS JCC, a most glorious transition, believing we can chart the course to this array of change together with the help of God A New Dawn is possible.

Our government shall be committed to the revolutionary leadership of Comr. Dayo Sunday Asefon, the NANS president and our zonal visionary leadership of the most coordinating coordinator of NANS zone C Comr. Abah Owoicho.
If we make it, we will operate within the charter demands of NANs constitution, we will always apply and invoked the 3Cs of NANS:
CONSULTATIONS, CONSOLIDATIONS,
and the last one which will always be our last option; CONFRONTATIONS.

"IF IT IS TO BE, IT IS UP TO US TO REFORM AND PERFORM NANS."
DARE TO STRUGLE, DARE TO WIN!!!

Aluta Continua, Victoria Ascerta!!!

Yours in Aspiration for a Productive NANS.
