PLATEAU STANDS STILL FOR TINUBU, APC AS MASSIVE CROWD STORMS PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN RALLY IN JOS

Presidential campaign of the All Progressives Congress APC Bola Ahmed Tinubu officially kicked off today, 15th November, 2022  at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos the Plateau state capital. Our correspondent reports that thousands of APC supporters and leaders from all walks of life   demonstrated their love and preference when they trooped the   stadium as early as 9:00am  to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari, Sen. Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate and his entourage to Jos. The occasion was also attended by  all  the 22 governors elected under  the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as well as Senators, House of representatives members, former Governors and other important Personalities.  In his remarks, Buhari said they are here to support the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress Bola Tinubu. The leadership of the National Association of University Students (NAUS) Campus Monitoring Committee (CMC) Plateau State Chapter have noticed with unquantifiable displeasure the immoral activities of three of the officials of the Plateau State Chapter of the organization. After series of engagements and request from the entire EXCOs for the accused persons to come forth and exonerate themselves it was to no avail. The EXCOs, having sat twice to deliberate on the issue but could not get the presence of the three members we have unanimously resolved to suspend of: COMR. MICHAEL JOSEPH PAM Chairman COMR. RE- IMPEACHMENT OF PLASU SUG PRESIDENT AND TREASURER- A TALE OF "LEGISLATIVE" RASCALITY AND KANGAROO LEGISLATION.

The news of the impeachment of the SUG President of Plateau State University, Bokkos and his treasurer by the erstwhile (former) legislative arm of the Student Union Government of the university came to us, to say the least, as both laughable and ridiculous. It is in response to the tensions created by this rather unfortunate and illegal action that we want to be swift in responding to this issues:  1. Impeachment of executive members who have committed impeachable offenses is indeed the duty and responsibility of the LEGISLATIVE arm of the SUG. The excesses of the legislative arm are however checked by the management of the university. Sometime in March, the legislative arm of the SUG was suspended by the management of Plateau State University, Bokkos, because of their consistent contravention of the laws of the SUG and corrupt practices which the school got a wind of. The Students Union Government Legislative Arm Led by the Speaker Rt. Hon. Timsel Fannap have been up and doing to ensure accountability and transperency in the institution and so therefore it has become imperative to note that the decision of the house was taken  due to the findings the house had.
